Are you making good things happen in your field through creative entrepreneurship? Do you thrive on breaking norms and pushing boundaries? The Make Happen Institute invites you to become an Associate Makehappeneur. Help shape the future of creative practice by mentoring aspiring creatives in our Masters in Creative Practice programme.

We seek:

Passionate Creatives We seek individuals who have successfully sustained an independent living through their creative work (including freelancing, running their own enterprise, consulting, teaching etc.). No matter what your creative practice (e.g. filmmaking, author, artist, musician, chef, inventor etc.) if you're making good things happen, we want to hear from you.

Mentors and Leaders Our ideal candidates are confident, self-made, and experienced in guiding others. You'll be a mentor, advisor, and occasional guest workshop leader, sharing your knowledge and inspiring the next generation.

What You’ll Do

Mentorship The key function of our associates is to guide students through their creative journeys, offering insights from your own experiences. Your wisdom can help shape their careers and creative practices.

Workshops Participate in occasional workshops, sharing your unique skills and knowledge. These sessions are designed to inspire and challenge students, pushing them to new heights.

Community Building Be part of a dynamic and supportive network of creatives. Engage with other mentors, exchange ideas, and collaborate on exciting projects.

What You’ll Gain

Impactful Experience Mentoring is a rewarding experience that allows you to give back to the creative community. You'll be making a significant impact on the careers of emerging creatives.

Flexible Paid Work This role requires a commitment of usually around 10 hours per month, allowing you to balance your mentoring with your own creative pursuits. Earn up to £100/hour (depending on your experience) for your contributions.

Be at the heart of a movement The Make Happen Institute is looking to raise the status of those entrepreneurial creatives that are impacting the world, whilst facing unique challenges for someone focussed on other things than just profit and typical business metrics.
